Fun in the Sun

There is nothing more spectacular, in my humble opinion, than a gorgeous fall day in Louisville, Kentucky!

I was lucky to have several dog shoots last Saturday, which had to be one of the prettiest days we have had all year.

This is the first of those shoots that I’ll post. The two dogs are Chester and Scooner- two gorgeous goldens with big hearts and beautiful personalities.

They came with their parents for some family portraits. It was really kind of the horse next door to come over for some shots, don’t you think?

This beautiful day was a little melancholy. Scooner has melanoma and it is not curable. So his parents are faced with the terrible knowledge that his days are limited. But, for now, he is a really happy guy and he had a blast during the shoot! See what I mean?

Such a darling guy. And so is Chester. They are really good buds. Check out how they are holding hands in the first picture above! So cute:)

Along with all the more traditional shots- we got some old time farm shots, as well. I didn’t want to stop photographing these guys- they are so handsome and completely wonderful dogs to be around.

I took these two in the driveway- right before they hopped in the car. I mean it when I say I literally couldn’t stop with the pictures- I would have followed them home if I could have:)

I think Scooner, on the right, was trying to tell me enough is enough!

Even though it it was not a completely carefree day with Scooner’s diagnosis, the dogs had a fantastic time. And they also definitely had some quality time with their parents.

Whenever a dog comes to me with cancer, we donate a part of our proceeds to 2 dogs 2000 miles- a fantastic effort to fight canine cancer. To learn more about this effort, please go to http://www.2dogs2000miles.org
